Obituary of Frederick Logwood Oliver

Frederick Logwood Oliver 89, transitioned to Spirit in his Brooklyn Center home on September 25, 2020. His family was by his side. Frederick was born on March 31 1931, in Birmingham, AL. After his service in the Army during the Korean War, he moved to Minnesota where he completed a degree in Chemistry from the U of MN and worked as a research chemist for the U of MN and Twin Cities Testing. He married Barbara Marie Kott in1956 and soon after, he completed a Master’s degree in French Language and Culture from the University of Indiana. Frederick taught French at Minneapolis Public Schools for 28 years. He had such a joyful zest for life that he was an inspiration to all who knew him. He is survived by his three children; Serge Oliver and wife Christin, Marius Oliver and Marie Forrest, his four grandchildren; August Johnson-Paulson, Jason Oliver, Laia Olivier and Forest Oliver and his great granddaughter; Sophia Oliver.
