Thomas Lee Solstad
Born February 21st, 1950 - Died October 7th, 2020

Tom was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on February 21st, 1950, and passed away on October 7th, 2020. Preceded in death by parents Irene and Russell Solstad, son Matthew Young, Father-in-Law Lynn Balow. Survived by loving wife Merri; children Kristoffer and his wife Christine, Jonathan, Lee and his wife Miyuki, Lisa and her husband Andrew, Jessica; grandchildren Matthew, Alex, Parker, Penelope; brother James; mother-in-law Marion Balow; brother-in-law Paul and his wife Angela Balow; other relatives, friends and co-workers. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in March of 2010, and he faced the challenge with courage and without complaint. A dedicated family man, he had a strong work ethic, was generous, honest and thoughtful. He  possessed a heart of gold and  always put others first. His passions were running, ham radio, auto racing and mechanics. Our hearts are broken, and our world will never be the same again. He will be dearly missed by so many.
