Obituary of Joseph Edward Bachman

Joseph Edward Bachman was born October 29, 1936, in Ramona, SD and peacefully went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2020. Formerly residing in Woodbury, MN, Joe served on the Fire Department for several years. He had a long career at Hoerner Waldorf Corporation in St. Paul. In retirement he moved to the Alexandria lakes area. He loved working on cars and taking care of his yard and pets. After losing his loving wife Saundra in February 2019, Joe lived at Edgewood Assisted Living in Alexandria. He was well liked for his calm, cooperative spirit. He loved to take walks and read his Bible and western novels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethelyn and Edgar Bachman; sister, JulieAnn Lingle; brother, Richard Bachman; wife, Saundra Bachman; and daughter, Laura Bachman.  He is survived by his children, Vikki (Roger) McCollough, Michael (Sue) Bachman, DeaDra (Mark) Rauchbauer, Cynthia Kesler, Lisa (Mark) Linn; many grandchildren; and sister, Donna (Bob) Jackson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 am Thursday, October 1, 2020, at New Life Christian Church, 1910 Co.
