Obituary of Jimmie Dewayne Jones

Jimmie D. Jones Sr. died at home on Friday, September 18, 2020

with the love of his life, Veronica, at his side. 

Born April 29, 1942 in Waycross, GA, he was preceded in death by his parents Jim Riley and Helen Carter Jones, sister Kay, brother Bobby, and son Jimmie D Jones Jr. 

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Veronica, his children, Laura (Andy) Ward, Arielle Breland, Kathryn (Frank) Tam, Jonathan Jones, Hannah (Gus) Jones-Kness, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, sister Ann, and brother Leonard. 

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Papa/Gramps. 

He will be remembered for his sense of humor and gentle spirit. 

A private family gathering was held to celebrate his life.
