Marcella M. L. Johnson - March 4, 1924 – September 10, 2020

Hopkins – Marcella (Marcy) Myrtle Lorraine Johnson, 96, of Hopkins MN formerly of Atwater MN passed away September 10, 2020

Her Celebration of life will be held at the Atwater Community Center, 107 2^nd St N, Atwater, MN, Sunday October 18^th, 2020 from 1-3PM.

Marcy was born March 4, 1924 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Arthur and Hattie (Barnick) Haglin.  She attended the Faribault School for the Deaf in Faribault, MN.  On September 18, 1954 she was united in marriage to Marvin J.C. Johnson. During their marriage, they farmed in the Kandiyohi and Lake Lillian areas. Marvin and Marcy retired in 1991 and moved into Atwater. They were able to travel and spend time in Arizona during several winters.  A trip that was the highlight of their travels was an Alaskan bus tour.  Following Marvin’s death in 2012 Marcy moved to New Hope, MN, Osseo MN and then Hopkins, MN. She was able to travel to Arizona and spend some time in the winter there until she was no longer able to travel.

She always had a special connection with children.

Surviving are her children, Dean (Tiffany) of Maple Grove, MN, Glenn of Phoenix, AZ; sisters in law, Lois Erickson of Willmar, Bessie Klose of Atwater; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her mother, father and 6 siblings.
