Obituary of Carol Sue O'Neill

O’Neill (Hart), Carol Sue, age 74, of Brooklyn Park passed away on September 4, 2020.  She is preceded in death by grandchildren, Isaiah and Hope; sister, Phyllis (Don) England; brothers, Bill (Norma) Hart and Jim Hart; parents, Leland Hart and Helen (Hansen).  She will be deeply missed by her children, Joe (Liz) O’Neill, Amy Castrillon; their father, Terry O’Neill;  grandchildren, Owen O’Neill, Andres and Sebastian Castrillon; siblings, Jean (Dave) Bender, Dick (Linda) Hart; sister in-law, Laura Hart; Many relatives and good friends.  

Carol worked at Hennepin County Sherriff’s office where she earned the nickname “the Hammer”. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the party that we call life and wasn’t ready for the party to end.  She fought a brave battle against uterine cancer with a positive attitude. She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure with her family. They have many fond memories of family vacations with her. One of her favorite trips was Semester at Sea, which she got to take with her siblings. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her family. She also enjoyed going for walks and eating out. She will be greatly missed by many relatives and good friends. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who was able to help out in her final days.  Private family Memorial.  Celebration of Life to be held May 23, 2021 on her 75^th birthday – details to follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to her favorite charities.
