Obituary of Mark M. Bullyan
Mark M. Bullyan, age 94, lifelong resident of West Duluth, peacefully went to be with his loved ones and his Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 26, 2020 while at View Crest Healthcare Center.
He was born December 16, 1925 in Duluth to Mark P. and Mary E. (Fister) Bullyan. Mark was a graduate of Duluth Central High School and the Dunwoody Institute. He retired at age 58 from Moline-Pillsbury, Inc., after several years of service.
Mark was a part of the Raleigh Street Gang, active in the Lake Superior Trollers Assoc., and Elim Lutheran Church and their Fellowship. He was also a member of the Moose Club, enjoyed reading the paper and doing the puzzles. Mark enjoyed antique cars and car shows, West Duluth Days, area parades, playing bingo, watching game shows and the Twins Baseball Games on T.V. He really liked to dance to Polka Music and listening to the Chmielewski’s and the Slovenians play, but mostly he loved people. Mark was a very loyal, caring man and loved giving hugs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives and loves of his life, Dorothy, Florence, Marian and Bernice; brothers, Tony, Bill and Bob; and sister, Mary Behn.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Karan (George) Simonson; grandson, Jason Simonson (Sheryl Carlson and Stetson) of Poplar; two great-grandchildren, Matayah, and Brock; his brother, Joe (Nancy) Bullyan and sister, Helen Bullyan; companion and pet, Tasha; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of Viewcrest for their excellent care, especially Kelly, Kristen, Jeremy, Matt and Wes.
A private family graveside service will be held at Oneota. At a later date there will be a celebration of his life.
