Obituary of Mary Johnson

Johnson, Mary age 84 of Burnsville, formally of Excelsior, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2020 surrounded by her family.  Preceded in death by her parents, Clement & Frances Cysewski, husband, Ronald ‘Red’ Johnson and sisters, Ellie Houck and Betty Beranek.  Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna (Jason) Schmidt of Farmington, grandchildren, Andrew & Amanda, brother Robert Cysewski (Seattle) & sister Barbara Skeels (Winona).  She was also Auntie Mary to many beloved nieces & nephews.  Mary worked as a telephone operator for AT&T for over thirty years.  She loved watching all different sports on TV, reading &, although she claimed to not enjoy it, discovered how fun bingo can be.  Thank you to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at the Ebenezer Ridges Care Center who were there for Mary during these months when we could not visit & assisted with virtual visits to help keep us connected.  Funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Excelsior on September 10th at 11am.  Visitation one-hour prior, with burial to follow.  Memorials preferred to The Ebenezer Foundation-Ridges Care Center Fund.
