Ginette Lleo

Obituary of Ginette Lleo

Lleo, Ginette

Age 89, most recently of Blaine, MN. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 1 after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by daughter Michele (Isaac) Yates; son John (Regina) Lleo; granddaughter Sarah (Zach) Yates-Cohen; grandson John-Paul (Molly) Yates; great-grandchildren Lola, Miles, and Ben; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by husband Desire. Ginette was born in Robion, France and moved to New York City in 1954 to pursue the American Dream. A friend to everyone she met (even those she was seated next to on airplanes), she loved both the country she was born in and the country she chose to live in, her family, laughing, enjoying good food, and playing bocce ball with friends in her beloved home state of Florida. She was kind, determined, hard-working, and always up for adventures with her great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice Minneapolis would be greatly appreciated. Special thank you to her wonderful hospice nurse Laura for the excellent care she provided at the end of her life.
