Obituary of Alice Mabel Wood

Alice Mabel Wood, Passed August 23, 2020 two days after her 91^st birthday.  She was born August 21, 1929 in Verndale ,MN

She is preceded in death by her husband,  Gerald James Wood, passed away in 1963; son, Larry; granddaughter, Brittaney; parents Robert Payne and Gena Gaines;  

She will be deeply missed by her children:  Jerry , Star , Ron , Ray , Jeff,, Julie ; Grandchildren: Jody , Jamie, Nichole, Christina ,Tiffany, Shelli, Alyson, Shawn, Jeffrey, Tammy , Mike , Brett; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; many dear relatives and good friends.

This photo is Alice on her 91st birthday.   She was so happy and it was the best 3 days celebrating and visiting on her  birthday . She was happy, sharp up until she passed away on Sunday morning.  She was planning on going to the casino with her daughter Julie on Wednesday.  Alice retired from the Post Office with 30 years of service.  She was a supervisor. 

After retiring from the postal service she obtained her real estate license.  She enjoyed living on the Lake , fishing, painting ceramics and loved her family .

Her Memorial Service is Sunday, August 30, 2020  12: 30 for visitation.   Service at 1:00 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Brooklyn Park location.  

Private interment at Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis,  where she will be laid to rest next to her Husband.
