Mr. Ryberg was my Russian and Russian/European history teacher at Central High School. He had such a way of getting us to think for ourselves and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He was one of the most influential teachers of my life. He will be missed.

I met Don on a small boat cruise of Turkey several years ago. I felt an immediate connection. We ended up doing most of the land tours together. We later had opportunities to re-connect when I was in Florida enjoying baseball Spring Training, and when he visited me at my home in Texas. He was simply one of the most delightful persons I've ever been around. A gentle soul and a great conversationalist. He even laughed at my jokes! His keen mind meant that we could discuss substantive issues. You don't meet many people in a lifetime where you share the same basic outlook and general worldview. Don was one of those for me. Our angle of vision was virtually the same on all matters. I am grateful to have been his friend.
Rest In Peace my Brother.
