Obituary of Judith Ann Reese

Judith Ann Reese, aged 70, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 13, 2020.  Judy was born June 1, 1950 in Mitchell, SD to Ruth and Gaylord Reese.  When Judy was 4, the family moved to Bloomington, MN.  After graduating from Bloomington Lincoln High School, Judy attended the University of Minnesota where she graduated with a degree in English education.

After working several years for the Peavey Corporation, Judy began her teaching career at Dakota County Technical College where she taught for 30 years. While working at the college Judy continued her education earning her Master of Arts in Business Education from the University of Minnesota.

Judy’s family and friends were very important to her.  She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, was a movie buff and she never met a trip she didn’t like, both within the United States and abroad.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers-in-law, Arnold J Berquam and David R McPherson and nephew Steven R Mittlestadt.

She is survived by sisters, Twylla McPherson, Glendive, MT, Vernone Spencer ,Glendive, MT, Rebecca Berquam, Deer Park, WI and brother Duane (Sherrie) Reese, Minnetonka, MN, special friend Bruce Arones, St Anthony, MN and nieces and nephews Christine Berquam, St Paul, MN, Steven (Lisa) McPherson, New Orleans, LA, Matthew (Kari) Berquam, Deer Park, WI, Angela Mittlestadt, Glendive, MT, Greg (Bridget) McPherson, St Charles, MO, Bradley (Carina) McPherson, Billings, MT, Jason (Courtney) Reese, Richfield, MN, Kevin McPherson (Angela) Glendive, MT, Jessica (Kurt) Reese, St Paul, MN, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2:00 PM at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
