Joyce Lorraine Nelson (Ring)

October 25, 1937 - August 12, 2020

Joyce, 82, of St Louis Park passed away August 12, 2020, in Methodist Hospital, with family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Susie Ring, brother Gary Ring, and former husband Elliott Nelson. Survived by daughter Ann Mohler (Shawn), son James Nelson, daughter Susan Truelson; grandchildren Christopher, Jessica, Angela, Amanda and Anders; great grandchild Gavriella, brother Gordon Ring (Darlene) 

Joyce was born in Faribault, Minnesota. Joyce graduated from Central High School in Minneapolis in 1956. Got married in 1962 and had three lovely children. Then went back to school and received her ASN degree in Nursing at MCTC in Minneapolis. 

Joyce was a long time member of Park Community Church in St Louis Park. She was involved in women's ministries and had many friends. Joyce took up oil painting in her 50's and became very talented. She loved reading, movies, music (especially Frank Sinatra), her beloved pets, and she loved being a Grandma! She was always kind to everyone and will be missed by all who knew her.
