Obituary of Mary Theresa Rogolino Everett

Mary Theresa Rogolino Everett September 17, 1923-August 14, 2020

A funeral service and mass will be held for Mary at the Church of St. Peter, 1801 Broadway Ave, St Peter on Monday, August 31st at 11am. All friends and the public are welcome to join us to celebrate the life of Mary Everett. Due to COVID-19 concerns, a celebration of life will be presented over the internet September 2, at 11am. All family and friends are welcome. Please email Cathy Connally at formaryeverett@gmail.com for invitations to the Zoom internet celebration.

Mother. Teacher. Explorer. Ninety-six years in the making. Relentless. Energetic. Perhaps the most poignant words to describe Mary’s wisdom came from her “Give them some time, they’ll come back to what you taught them”. Sage advice Mary gave the worried parents of some of her Spanish students at St. Peter High School. A wise teacher and friend to so many for all of her life.

Saying goodbye to this wonderful strong spirited woman is so difficult for those who love her. On August 14, 2020 an angel left this earth and she will be forever missed. Mary leaves behind her youngest sister Giannina Marchowsky; daughter,Catherine Connally & Charley Best, son Thomas Everett & Jill Everett, grandchildren and other loved ones, James Connally & Brandy Henning, Kenneth Connally, Jackie and Rich Lovberg,Eileen Best, Meredith Best, Hilary Best, Lauren Curtis & Lester Curtis, Kyle Everett & Jerise Washington, and great grandchildren Aria Curtis, Averie Curtis.

Rather than flowers, Mary preferred contributions made to her favourite charities Smile Train or to Gustavus Adolphus College. “Follow your dreams” from a favorite song, Pomp and Circumstance, is Mary’s message to all. Mary you followed your dreams and helped the rest of us follow ours. Muchas Gracias  Señora Mary Theresa Rogolino Everett.  ¡Adiós por ahora!
