Obituary of Karen Ann Foede

Karen Ann Foede, born on August 4th, 1951 to Joe and Mary Reardon, passed away peacefully on Friday August 14, 2020 in Two Harbors, Minnesota at the age of 69.   

Karen was married on November 1,1985 to the love of her life and best friend George Foede. For the past 30 years they have created and shared many memories in their forever home on the North Shore. She will be loved be forever loved by her sister Cindy Boman (H. Wayne) son-Skip Joseph Johnson (W. Becky), daughter- Shannon Lee Johnson-Benalshaikh (H. Nabeel), step-daughters Beth Werkman (Foede), Paula Foede,  nephews- Bryce, Bryan & Evan Boman. Grandchildren Brittany Johnson, Jehnah, Mahdi & Shakura Benalshaikh, Rachel Werkman,  Amanda & Ellen Lerbakken, and Amanda, Kathleen, & Kimberly Rolfzen. Great Grandchildren Odin and Kylie Starkey, Neveah Rolfzen, Braxton Cochran. Best friend Betty Miller and many more extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother-Mary Reardon (Rauschendorfer 2008) , father-Joseph Reardon (2017) great granddaughter Haven Starkey (2010) and dearest friend Ruth Cameron.

Karen was raised in Waverly, MN where much of her family and friends still reside or are resting in peace. In her youth, she rode motorcycles and enjoyed getting into trouble with her sister, cousins and friends. She lived in Delano MN for many years and worked as a nurse in Winstead, dedicating her career to caring for the elderly. She later found her home on the North Shore and settled in her "little house in the woods" and continued to care for the elderly at the Sunrise Nursing Home in Two Harbors.

Karen Loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored and doted on every chance she got. She loved fishing, hunting, camping, reading books, cooking, watching anything that had Gordon Ramsey and on more than one occasion, a nice glass of wine;)

Karen Ann Foede will be forever remembered as having a kind, generous spirit who welcomed everyone into her home and would give what she had to those who needed it.
