Obituary of Winona Stoecker
Winona Stoecker, 89, of Richfield, passed away the afternoon of August 7, 2020 at Friendship Manor in Shakopee. She was loved by many.
She Born January 22nd, 1931 in Hosmer, South Dakota. Winona grew up on a farm not far from her future husband, Elmer. After farming they moved to Minneapolis and later settled in Richfield for 40 years. She was foremost a homemaker but also ran a daycare and worked for other companies in Minneapolis. From an early age she had a love of music that carried on throughout her life. She enjoyed playing the guitar, harmonica, and dancing. Family was a top priority and she loved spending time with family and traveling on camping trips, road trips, and Hawaii twice. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed feeding people and making them happy. Later on Winona lived in Bloomington where she had a special friend, Warren. She spent her last years under the care of Friendship Manor in Shakopee. She was known for the music she played there and the relationships that she had. Winona give be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Winona was preceded in death by her husband Elmer. She is survived by 3 Children, Bonnie Stoecker, Al Stoecker, Gary Stoecker, and Grandson Jacob.
She will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling next to her husband.
