Obituary of Mary Kay Kroska

Mary Kay Kroska, Age 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at home surrounded by her children. Mary Kay Greer was born in  Audubon, Iowa on May 31, 1930 and baptized and married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Audubon, Iowa. She graduated from Audubon High School in 1948 and went to Ottumwa Heights Junior College for one year before moving to Washington DC where she worked as a telephone operator for the phone company. She met George Kroska, they were married in Audubon on April 11, 1953, and they moved to Bloomington, MN. Mary Kay is most proud of the nine children she raised. She is preceded in death by George Kroska, her parents, Paul A. Greer and Mildred E. (Kerwin) Greer, and her son, Patrick Greer Kroska.  She is survived by her sisters, Rosanne Greer Doran (Jack), and Patricia Greer Hammons (Bob). Her children: Susan Greer (Ben), Kathleen Kroska, Michael Kroska (Deb), Jane Ellwood (David), Mary Larson (Mark), Paul Kroska (Keran), Julie Tussing (Jim), James Leigh (Angie). She has 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  A Celebration of Life will be at The Cremation Society of Minnesota in Edina on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 4-8 pm. Masks required. There will be a private family graveside service at St. Patrick's cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.
