Obituary of Dennis Ivan Pratt

Age 73 of Minneapolis, passed away on August 7, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents, Ivan & Betty Ann Pratt. Survived by wife, Karleen; children, Randy Straus (Bill Rollie), Jason (Jill) Pratt, and step-daughter, Melissa (Dustin) Kaiser; 6 Grandchildren, Aaron (Nicole) Pratt, Andrew Pratt, Elizabeth Pratt, Miles Kaiser, Gabriella Kaiser, and Elliana Kaiser; Great-granddaughter, Adalynn Pratt.

Dennis loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.  He loved God and his church.  He was a member of Living Spirit United Methodist Church for 40 years.  He served the church in various capacities.  He also loved his country.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, bowling, the Vikings, and visiting his folks and son in South Dakota. Dennis also held dearly the fun times he had growing up with siblings, Iva Jean, Lyle, Steve, and Del; especially the many times spent riding horses for the entire day. He enjoyed attending family reunions, visiting with siblings, aunts,  uncles, and cousins.  

Dennis was diagnosed with dementia at an early age and spent the last 9 years of his life as a resident of the Minnesota Veterans Home on the dementia wing.  There he received excellent care.  He was always treated with respect and dignity.

Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 12:30PM
