Obituary of Ann C Marx
Marx, Ann C. age 86, peacefully passed away at home on August 9, 2020. A lifelong Edina resident, Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and passionate parishioner and lay leader of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Preceded in death by husband Paul. Survived by daughters Betsy (Bill) Nimmo and Susan (Grant) Henry, grandchildren Jenny, Annie and Mike (Alyssa) Nimmo and Laura and Mark Henry, and brother Chuck Converse. Ann grew up sailing on Lake Minnetonka and skating on Minnehaha Creek. She attended Northrup School and Wells College as a music major, where she met and then married Paul. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan, lifelong tennis player, regular spectator at her grandchildrens' sporting and artistic events, and premier hostess of most holiday and family events. She volunteered with dedication for many groups, including the Junior League of Minneapolis as a charter member of the LeagueAires. Her true passions came through the loudest with her devotion to her children and grandchildren and to St. Stephen's, where her service spanned decades of fundraising events, vestry membership, and leadership as Warden. Private service will be held. Memorials preferred to St. Stephen's Church Pipe Organ Fund, 4439 W. 50th Street, Edina, MN 55424.
