Obituary of Jeanne Salgy

Jeanne Salgy was born in Duluth, MN on February 22, 1946 to Edwin Supino and Ruth Sorgenfrei. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 9, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was known for her love of children and grandchildren, being an awesome cook, crafting, and love of animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, nephew (Mike Stewart), niece (Carla Herman), great-nephew (Matthew Stewart), and father of her children (Ivan Salgy).  She is survived by her children Brenda (River) Dower, Steve (Sue) Salgy, Marissa (John) Reed; long-time companion Dean Gokey; sister Joan Stewart, brother Andrew (Debbie) Renaud; grandchildren: Amber (James) Hawes, Josh (Kristin) Salgy, Steve aka “Pooper” (Kaitlyn) Salgy, Sarah (Jesse) Salgy, Garrett aka “Geegee” Dower, Sarah Lynn Oliver; and great-grandchildren: Amelia, Audrey, Jolene, Ella, Kyla, Atticus, Silas, Kaiden, Kaliyah, Serenity, London, and Johnessa; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
