Obituary of Stephen R Wood

Stephen R. Wood, 78, passed away after a brief illness, August 8, 2020.

Stephen started his working career at Skyline Webb as a gas station attendant, going on as a salesman for Pioneer Coffee and finishing up as a bus driver for Duluth Transit Authority.

Stephen had several interests. He liked trains, hunting and fishing. He caught his first brook trout in Miller Creek using a safety pin. From then on he became a lifelong fisherman. He made two trips to the Artic and longed for the day he could live in Alaska.

Stephen married Carol Kay Vukelich, and together, raised two daughters, Penny and Patti.

He is survived by his daughters, Penny (Steven) Klejewski and Patti Carlson; grandson, Kyle Lee; great-granddaughter, Kyla; brothers, Paul (Maryann) and David Wood; niece, Mishanna Cramer; and nephew, Johnathan Wood.

A private family gathering will be held.
