Lois Jean (Beyer) Waldowski, age 80, of Ramsey, MN passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2020. Funeral services will be held August 15, at 11:00 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western Street, Anoka, MN  55303. There will be a visitation from 10:30 – 11:00 AM prior to the service.  Both the Visitation and Service will allow for social distancing and masks will be required for both.   Memorials are preferred to Mount Olive Lutheran Church.

Lois Jean (Beyer) Waldowski was born on June 23, 1940 in Minnesota Lake to Richard and Ida Beyer (Werner).  She graduated from Truman High School in Truman, MN in 1958.  She went on to attend Mankato State College graduating with a degree in Physical Education and Health in 1962.

Lois was united in marriage to Gene Waldowski on August 21, 1965 at the Church of the Visitation in Danvers, MN.  She was a physical education teacher for thirty-five years in the Roseville Area School District which included Capitol View Junior High and Roseville Middle School.  Over thirty-five years she made many friends and stayed friends with those she met in high school, college, and teaching.  Lois and Gene built a home in Ramsey in 1969.  The gardens were filled with hostas and flowers.  In 2016, her gardens were featured as part of the “Beautiful Garden” Series appearing in the Sunday edition of the Star Tribune.  She was a charter member of the Ramsey Garden Club, taking a leadership role, and shared her talent for gardening with many people.  She was a great story teller with a wonderful sense of humor.   In her spare time, she enjoyed canning her vegetables, golfing and enjoyed her winters in Sebring, FL.  She was an avid reader, loved dancing, entertaining, and was a member of the Philolectian Society and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority (an international society honorary organization for women teachers).

Lois is survived by her husband, Gene, and her son, Jason Waldowski; her brothers and sisters, Robert Beyer, Beverly Bussler, Dianne Beyer, Ronald Beyer, and Russell Beyer; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Elwood, Roger and Richard Beyer.

Lois was greatly loved and will be missed.  Rest in Peace
