Obituary of Barbara Joan Hillmer

Hillmer, Barbara Joan 

Age 73, of Burnsville MN. Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on July 14, 2020. Barb was born on January 19, 1947 in Redwood Falls, MN. She attended Echo High School and then went on to graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in History. Barb enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ken and their friends. She loved reading about history and sometimes found herself in the midst of history by participating in human rights movements.  Preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Arline Busack. Survived by loving husband, Ken; sister, Deanna (Karl) Breitkreutz; brother, Larry (Karen) Busack; many loving nieces, nephews and good friends. Memorial service 3 pm on Sunday, August 16th at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, MN 55435 (952)924-4100. Visitation at 2 pm. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
