Obituary of Robert L Nelson

Robert Lawrence (Bob) Nelson 92 of Duluth MN. Passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in St. Benedictine Safe Harbor.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Duluth, working at US Steel Cement division, Woodland Hills, and various jobs in his early years.

Bob was born in Duluth on November 20, 1927 to Victor and Emilia Nelson.

After enlisting, Bob did his military service with the US Navy.

Spending time at the cabin in Moose Lake, collecting Ertl car banks, hunting, and being an all-around handyman, were things he enjoyed.

On May 27th, 1950 he married Janice Gotchie. They celebrated 70 years of marriage before his passing.

He was preceded in death by both parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Cliff, Lennard and his son Jeffrey (Jane) Nelson.

Bob is survived by his wife Janice, his sons Albert (Cheryl) Nelson, David Nelson, daughters Sandra (Dick) Kelly, LuAnn (Mike) Rich, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private Family Service with CDC requirements will be August 16, 2020 at 3:00pm Trinity Episcopal Church. Reverend Jane Quesenberry Nelson will be officiating.
