Obituary of Michael Todd Nygaard

Nygaard, Michael Todd (51) born November 29, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN and died July 23, 2020 at home after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Survived by wife, Karen, Sons Nick (Katie) and Matt, Parents Richard and Cheryl and sister Kim (Jeff). He will be missed by many. A private family service will be held. Mike had a great sense of humor, he always had jokes and stories to tell. He lived life to the fullest and always was there to lend a helping hand. Mike worked for Frontier Communications for over 22 years, where he made lifelong friendships. He would always come home with a story to tell. Mike loved spending time with his wife, Karen. They had lots of Sun Day Fun days, especially at the beach in Mexico. They also enjoyed spending time together at home with their best fur babies Dolly and Roxie. He cherished many great memories with his kids hunting, fishing, boating, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, going to concerts, taking vacations or just hanging out at the grill. He also enjoyed spending many weekends and holidays at his parent’s lake home with his family. Everyone was always welcomed in Mike’s “Man Cave” to watch football or just to stop by for happy hour. Many great memories were made with family and friends. Anyone who ever met Mike considered him a friend for life. He will be deeply missed by all.
