Obituary of Gayle K Mattson

Gayle K. Mattson, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2020 at Waterford Assisted Living in Brooklyn Park.

She was born October, 24, 1942 to the late Eldon and Karin (Hager) Mattson. Gayle graduated from Minneapolis Edison High School in 1960, earned an Associate’s Degree from Minnesota School of Business, and had a career in inside sales for a chemical distribution company until 2009 due to a stroke.

Gayle enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles; and through the years she was on the church council, volunteered as Sunday school superintendent and teacher, and was an avid volunteer for many church activities. Gayle also volunteered for Hennepin County’s Friend of Child Program.

Gayle is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Susan Mattson; brother, Carl (Gayla) Mattson; niece, Jennifer Mattson Boran; nephew, Eric Mattson; grand nieces and nephews, Kieran and Liam Boran, and Casandra, Savannah, Samantha, and Makenna Mattson; and many cousins and friends.

A private Service of Interment for family is planned and an open Celebration of Life will follow on a later date.
