Colin Kline

Obituary of Colin Gerald Kline

Colin Gerald Kline died unexpectedly on June 9, 2020. Born June 17, 1975, in Ottawa, Ontario, Colin grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, the third of four boys to Linda Vikan Kline and F. Gerald (Jerry) Kline.  He attended Webster Magnet Elementary, and Highland Jr. and Sr. High Schools, where he met his closest friends and the love of his life, Libby Larsen. On an early date they discovered that Fosston, Minnesota was a special connection; she was famous for being born at home in a winter storm and his grandpa published the story of her birth in the local  newspaper, The 13 Towns. Colin graduated from Arizona State University and later returned to St. Paul to begin his career as a general contractor. He was an accomplished craftsman, loved The Simpsons, morel hunting with his family, and making people laugh. But the real pride and joy of Colin’s life were his children: Fosston (8), Elka (7), and Indigo (3). Also left to mourn his loss is his mother Linda Kline, and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Sean and Tasha, Patrick and Katie, and Brendan and Tara. Uncle Colin will be missed by his nieces and nephews: Iris, Ambrose, Aoife and Roen. Colin was preceded in death by his father Jerry Kline who died of Lymphoma.

Contributions can be made to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline, or a gofundme account to support Libby and the children.
