Obituary of James Robert Duning

James Robert Duning: January 22, 1941 - June 6, 2020

James Robert ‘Jim’ Duning, age 79, of Inver Grove Heights, MN passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 surrounded by family. Jim was born in Ohio to Robert and Marion Duning, is survived by Sue Duning, his daughters Kristen Elwell (Zach) and Elizabeth Olson, his six grandchildren Zach, Jake and Matthew Olson, and James, Nick and Sofie Elwell. Jim was known for his dry humor, kindness, love of golf, and he was an amazing father and grandfather.   He will be deeply missed. 

A private burial will be held at Fort Snelling. We invite family and friends to a Celebration of Jim's Life that will be held on Friday, June 19th from 1 pm to 4 pm at Jensen Lake Shelter, Lebanon Hills Park, Eagan, MN.
