Obituary of Marlene Anding

Marlene A. Anding, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family.

Marlene was born October 9, 1940 in Duluth to Hjalmer and Dorothy Fosness. She Graduated from Alborn School in 1958. Marlene enjoyed working with the public, owned and operated CharMars from 1985 to 2007, and finally found her true passion working as a Foster Grandparent until she retired in 2017 due to medical reasons. Marlene enjoyed cooking, singing karaoke, and playing cards, especially cribbage as long as she won. Marlene loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Marlene was preceded in death by her father and mother; her brother Peter Fosness and her sister Annette Rohan.

Marlene is survived by her daughters Tina (Paul) Knowlton, Tammy Kleiner, Traci (Stan) Dye, son Terry (Stacy) Kleiner, sisters Pat (Clyde) Johnson, Irene Bassa, Janice Fosness, Kathy Hergert, brother Warren Fosness, 13 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other family members, and special friends Joan and Jan.

The family would like to thank Inclusa and Innovative staff, with a special thank you to Sheli and Cody for their compassionate and attentive care.
