Obituary of Leo E. Overson

Overson, Leo E. of New Hope, MN was born on September 28, 1947 in Morris, MN to Rubin J. Overson and Gladys V. Moser Overson. He passed away at his home in New Hope, MN on May 9, 2020 at the age of 72. He was the youngest of 5 children and grew to manhood in Donnelly, MN. Lifetime employee of Honeywell and member of Teamsters' Union Local #1145. He was an avid motorcyclist for 45 years, especially loving Harley-Davidson bikes. He was a member of New Hope Alano and volunteered many hours including serving on the Board of Trustees. He helped many on the road to recovery in his 48 years of sobriety. Preceded in death by grandparents, parents, and sister, Diane Overson. He is survived by his brother, Donald (Marlys) Overson of Mora, MN; Elaine Overson Storck of Princeton, MN; Dorothy [Doddie] (Ronald) Williams of Rockford, MN, 6 nephews, 5 nieces, many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date (watch this column). Final resting place at Vinger Cemetery, Donnelly, MN.
