Obituary of Donna Jeanne Willenbring

Donna J. (Perry) Willenbring

Age 81, Minneapolis, passed away on May 18, 2020, of natural causes at University of MN Hospital. Preceded in death by her Husband Theodore (Ted) of 60 years, Parents; Glenn and Marguerite Perry, Sister, Barbara Grile, Niece, Donna Grile, Sister-in-laws; Mary Ann (Dr. Ray Stein), Julia (Elmer Langer); and Brother-in-law, Gorden Willenbring. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by children, Glenn (Julie), Gail Devery (Dan), Anna Reynolds (Eric), David (Bobbie), and Barby; Grandchildren; Michelle (Nathan), Jacqueline, Brian, Harrison, Matthew, Dani, Faith, Erin, Haidyn, Athea and Brynn; Great-grandchildren, Jayden, Noah and Nevaeh. Also survived by Sister-in-laws; Sr. Joyce Willenbring, OSB, Bonnie Willenbring Brother-in-laws; Mel Grile, Fr. Mark Willenbring, nieces and nephews. Along with many family and friends she loved dearly. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend. She was born in Marshall, MN and raised in Sauk Rapids, MN. She met the love of her life, Ted, and moved to Minneapolis in 1958. She was a longtime employee of Fairview Riverside and Deaconess Hospitals until retiring. Donna loved to play Scrabble, Spider Solitaire, Bridge and completing the daily CRYPTOQUIP in the newspaper. There were many RV camping trips and summer days by the family pool. She really enjoyed her grandchildren and cared for each one uniquely. She enjoyed hosting and welcomed anyone to her house and the dinner table. Due to health and safety concerns around COVID 19, a Memorial Service has been postponed until late summer/fall. Arrangements are through Cremation Society of MN.
