Scott Johnson

Obituary of Scott A Johnson

DeLores Johnson’s son, Scott A. Johnson, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

Scott, 65 years old, was born March 4, 1955 at the army base hospital in Baumholder, Germany. He was a beautiful baby with many blond curls and much adored by mother and nursing staff.

He excelled in work shop in middle school. He built and designed a beautiful wooden stained “judge’s gavel” that was displayed in the main lobby of Lindbergh High School. It surely will be cherished.

Scott was highly intelligent with an IQ ranging in the high 160’s but very humble. He excelled in science, mathematics, and music at Lindbergh High in Hopkins and college. His favorite teacher was Mr. Bates who developed a popular high school band that Scott played lead with his hard earned silver trumpet. Scott took first chair in Minnesota High School competition two years consecutively. Later, Scott would compose songs for me and play them on his guitar.

Scott attended St. Cloud University after graduating from Lindbergh High in Hopkins. He went on the get several licenses: realtor, broker, aviator, and small arms security. He managed several businesses. He was also the supervisor for two local up-scale housing developers in the West suburbs of Minneapolis. At church, Scott was involved in Men’s Bible Study and playing in the band.

Scott was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his detailed motor boat.

As a mother, I am blessed that I was able to be here for my son. There are no words to express how I will miss how kind and gentle he was to me and others. He had the love of the Lord in his heart and soul, and I know he is with the Lord with no more suffering.

My heart is aching beyond comprehension but knowing he is with Jesus Christ gives me peace beyond my understanding. Time will pass and I will see him again.

He is survived by mother, DeLores Johnson; father, Richard Johnson; brother, Craig Johnson; daughters, Robin and Hailey Johnson; grandsons, Noah and John Jr.; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and close friend Christin.
