Obituary of Beverly Joyce Earnest
Beverly Joyce Earnest, of Old Frontenac passed away peacefully May 16, 2020 at Valentine's in Red Wing. She was born June 13,1935 in Moline, Illinois to Louis and Alice Burwell. Beverly graduated from Rock Island High School, in Illinois in 1954.Beverly and John were married, started a family and moved to Old Frontenac in 1969.In 2000, they moved to Lake City. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Frontenac, Ladies Aid, Veteran of Foreign Wars VFW Auxiliary 8729, and the Frontenac Quilters. Beverly was an avid bowler, enjoyed travel, a shrewd card club member, and a willing volunteer for multiple causes. There are many local quilts that have Bev's flair. She was always fun to be around, especially when she was enjoying time spent with family and friends, and her dog Cujo. She will be deeply missed by her children, Douglas(Lori) Earnest, and Kim Earnest(Brian Miller); and six grandchildren; Tara, Riley, Patrick, Carly, Baily, Frankie; siblings Gordon, Gary, and Joann(Bill) Hancock and extended family and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John, sons Rusty, Rick and Michael; parents, Louis and Alice Burwell; siblings, Louis and Russell. A graveside service for the family will be held at the Old Frontenac Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Dementia Society.
