Pamela Ann "Mimi" Norwood, age 72, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota passed away May 13, 2020.

Pamela Norwood was born April 7, 1948, the second of three daughters, to Harry Edward Talley and Charlotte Irene (Thomas) Talley in Cheyenne, Wyoming.   The Talley family relocated to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Pam attended Glenwood Springs High School, where she excelled academically and graduated near the top of her class in 1966.

Pam met Ronny Joe Norwood upon his return from service in Vietnam, and they were married shortly after on April 7, 1970.  Pam and Ronny raised three sons as he continued his active duty military career, taking duty assignments in Ft. Hood, TX; Denver, CO; Lander, WY; Lawrence, KS; Nelligen Kaserne, Germany; Ft. Ord, CA; Ft. Wainwright, AK; and Ft. Carson, CO. They remained committed to each other for 46 years until his death in 2016.

After high school, Pam enrolled at the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in Chickasha, OK.  After marrying and having children, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.  She remained a lifelong Jayhawks fan.  Pam strongly valued education, and completed many hours of post-graduate study in a number of subjects at several colleges and universities, including the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.

Pam began a career in technology when her husband finished his active duty career.  She specialized in Software Quality Assurance, and she worked for more than twenty years as an employee and contractor for a number of companies in several states.  Pam and Ron eventually settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado where Pam worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for Lockheed Martin in the Satellite Systems group.  She retired from Lockheed Martin in 2012.

Pam was also a talented and creative writer who loved poetry.  She would often write poems for family and friends on special occasions, and she was known to bring levity to the workplace in verse and rhyme.
