Ted Allison

Obituary of Ted "Theo" Allison

Ted “Theo” Allison, 56, Duluth, Mn left this world unexpectedly due to a heart attack May 7, 2020 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Genah Pulford, Mom, Geri Allison, children, Serena, Briana, Ian and Gavin, Grampa John Nash, mother-in-law Gloria (Jim), siblings, Mark, Jenelle, Molly, Miriah and Koby, and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

His heart was first attacked last year when his sugar levels got a little high and his wife took away his loves of all things chocolate and jack and cokes. I’m certain his BFF Craig had both waiting for him.

Ted loved being outdoors, sitting in the sun listening to KUMD, traveling, going to the casino in Hinckley, sports, dogs (although his wife wouldn’t let him get one…she’s aware that she’s the worst), work, meeting new people (although he couldn’t remember anyone’s name, so if he called you “Sally” or “Bud” it wasn’t because he had a cute nickname for you, he often referred to his wife as “hun”, and she’s sure it’s because he forgot her name half the time), and hanging out with friends and family. Frequent, friendly slaps on the back, followed by, “Heeey man, how are you doing? were his signature.

His wife often called him her lovable foreigner, due to his constant misuse of common phrases, the most frequent being “full head of steam” instead of full steam ahead. We referred to them as “Tedism’s”, and we wish we had all of them written down so we could write a book titled “The Ted Allison guide to the English language” (thank you for that title, you know who you are). So if anyone from the government who taps people’s phones is reading this, we would appreciate it if you would send them to his residence.

Due to Covid, we will not be able to have a celebration of life until a later date, until then raise a glass of jack and coke and remember all the good times.
