Obituary of Delores Marie Lind

Delores Marie Lind, a lifelong Hermantown resident died at the age of 89 peacefully at home on March 6, 2020.

Born on October 12, 1930, she was a hard-working homemaker on the family farm with animal care, gardening, canning, baking, and sewing. Often times as a ‘night owl’ working when the house was finally quiet.

After raising her family she turned to volunteering as a seamstress/costume designer for the Duluth Playhouse and most of the local high schools including Hermantown, Central, and Duluth East. She loved the outdoors, bonfires, and Lake Superior or any other local lake she could put her feet in and relax.

Survived by children, Taire Suliin (Randy), Kevin Lind (Lori Fisher), Tracy Jarvenpa (Mike), and Lorri Lind (Mike Jarvi); grandchildren, Tara Zajac (Bob), Aaron Jarvenpa (Tara), Patrick Jarvenpa, and Rachel Lind Engstrom; along with five great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat Missy.
