Obituary of Charlotte A Sornberger

Charlotte A. Sornberger, 89, of Hopkins, MN, formerly of Silver Bay, MN, died peacefully on May 6, 2020. Charlotte was born to Myrtle Bosler in Duluth, MN on August 1st, 1930. She graduated from Duluth Denfield High School and worked as a telephone operator before marrying in 1949 Arvid Sornberger Sr. Together they raised four boys in Silver Bay. Charlotte was devoted to her family and church. She found fulfilment teaching Sunday school and singing in the church choir until the age of 80. She moved to Lonsdale, MN in 2012 and Hopkins in 2018. Charlotte was preceded in death by husband Arvid. She is survived by sons Arvid Jr. (Aggie), Larry (Joy), Leslie, and Michael (Polly) and former daughter-in-law Wendy, step-brother Robert (Pat) Waldron and step-sister Penni (Michael) Cuppy; grandchildren Leah (Mike) LaTour, Brittany, Brandon, Tess, Trina, Tiphani, Yolanda (Dustin) Schaller, Zacharey, Cassie and three great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staffs at The Villages of Lonsdale and Augustana Chapel View. Memorials preferred to Palisade Baptist Church, 5486 MN-61, Silver Bay 55614.
