Please accept my condolences for the loss of Joan. She was a wonderful friend, caring, generous, and always planning something fun. I remember the great times we had as members of the church youth group, trip to Holden Village, and the many times we got together when she came to Florida or I was able to get to Minneapolis. It seemed like we could be apart for a year and when we got together again it was like we weren't apart at all. I remember playing tennis every day one summer at NDSU in Fargo and also going to Lenny's cottage at Pelican Lake with Joan and our friend Dave. She was a good water skier and we all had so many laughs falling out of the boat or getting up on skis like pros. I have experienced losing a sibling and am sure there will be painful grieving until the better memories can fill up the empty space.
