Obituary of Beatrice Taylor Underwood

Beatrice (Bea) Underwood, 77, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2020.

Bea was born on March 24th, 1943 to Mary and Louis in Indianola, MS. After graduating from Washington High School she join the United States Navy in 1961.

In 1964 she married Harold E. Underwood Jr. and moved to Minneapolis, going on to have 2 children.

She spent several years working for Target Corporation, before changing careers to pursue her passion in politics, where she worked for the Mayor of Minneapolis, and eventually moved on to work for Senator Paul Wellstone in Washington, DC, until she became ill in 1997.

Bea was predeceased by her parents, Mary Eppenger and Louis Taylor and her husband, Harold.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Lisa (Marcus) Thorpe and Lenora (Antonio) Smith, 3 grandchildren (Tynise, Tori and Paris) and 1 great grandchild (Mikeyia).
