Obituary of Lorraine Edith Russ

Lorraine E. Russ died peacefully at Ecumen North Branch on April 8, 2020 at the age of 90. Lorraine was born at home in Lindstrom, MN on August 8, 1929 to Wm George and Hildur Nelson. She was baptized and confirmed at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City, MN. She graduated from Lindstrom-Center City High School in 1947. She was employed as an office manager for several companies in Minneapolis. She enjoyed music, traveling, taking walks, crossword puzzles, attending art fairs and lived family gatherings. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis where she did volunteer work and read to the blind. Lorraine is survived by sisters, May Givens, Janet Nelson and Darlene (Kurt) Jones and brother John (Judy) Nelson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Wm George and Hildur Nelson, sisters, Gladys Muncil, Evelyn Bleifuss and Marian Nelson and brother Charles Nelson. Service and interment to be held at Hillside Cemetery in Center City, MN at a later date.
