Obituary of Judith Rea Murray

Judith Rae Murray of Duluth, MN and proud alumni of Denfeld High School passed of natural causes on February 29, 2020, at 81 years of age.

Judy was born on October 18, 1938 to Minnie and Henry Erickson. Judy worked for many years at the Duluth Clinic and was also co-owner of Olde Town Galleries.

Judy enjoyed wintering in Las Vegas and Florida. She loved playing Mahjongg, Bingo, Cards; games and her kindle were never out of reach. Judy loved to read. At her apartment on Park Point, overlooking the bay, she enjoyed watching all the boat and ship traffic that Duluth has to offer.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Henry Erickson; sister, Diane Strassburg; and husband, James Murray. She is survived by her two sons, Scott Hansen and Steven (Ruth) Hansen.

There will be a celebration of life from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, September 26, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 grand Ave, Duluth, MN.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to Judy’s favorite charities: Make a Wish Foundation, 1702 E. highland ave, suite 400, phoenix AZ 85016 and St. Jude’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis TN, 38016.
