Obituary of Mary Patricia Bredow

Our hearts were broken, when the best mother, mother-in-law, grandma and grandma grandma, passed away. Mary Patricia Bredow “Pat,” 87 of Duluth passed away peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2020.

She was born on November 8, 1932, to Patrick and Mary Egan in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pat grew up in Wausau Wisconsin and was married in July of 1954.

She moved to Chicago, Illinois for a few years before moving to Duluth, Minnesota in 1964, where she raised her daughter and son. Pat lived on Gearhart St. in Piedmont Heights until 2000, when she moved to a smaller place on Caribou Lake to be closer to family.

She retired from the St. Louis County Auditors office in 1998, after 30+ years. Pat was the retiree luncheon organizer for those she worked with at the courthouse.

Her hobbies included traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was well known in the neighborhood as the Dog Whisper of Sunny Lane. You could see her often walking with all dogs in the neighborhood.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Patty (Doug) Andrus and son Mike (Patti) Bredow; grandchildren, Michael (Whitney) and Bryan (Ashlie); great-grandchildren, Bristol, Olivia, Mason, Hadlie; and extended family and friends.

There will be a private service held at a later date also followed by a Celebration of life at a later date.
