Obituary of Hazel Louise Schoepke

 

SCHOEPKE, HAZEL LOUISE (nee: Lamp), age 86, of Delano, MN passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on April 6, 2020. Born September 27, 1933 at home and raised in Sebring, Ohio. A devoted wife, adored mother, and revered grandmother, Hazel will be remembered for her integrity, loyalty, and subtle sense of humor. Hazel attended Sebring McKinley High School and was a member of the Vocalairs choral group. A 25-year employee of Gabberts, Inc. she also served three years as volunteer with the American Red Cross, two years with Minnesota Literacy Council, and was an active member of Apple Valley Senior Citizens. Most recently she served as a volunteer at Love, Inc. in Delano. Hazel was an artist and avid gardener; she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren at the family cabin in Siren, WI. Preceded in death by Grandparents Thomas and Margaret Lamp, parents James and Hazel Lamp, brothers Thomas Lamp, James Lamp and his wife Betty, Clifford Beadnell and wife Betty Beadnell, sister Clarice Windland and husband Charles Windland, nephew Douglas Windland. She has no surviving aunts or uncles. She is survived by husband Rudolph Schoepke, Jr., daughters Mary McCarty (Bill), Karen Anderson, and son Peter Schoepke (Sara). Granddaughters Allison and Alaina Schoepke, Jennifer and Danielle Anderson, grandsons Jonathan, Robert, and Joseph Ellis, and Zach McCarty; great grandchildren Sophia and Liam Ellis, Connor and Anderson McCarty, Timothy Coddington, and Keira Schoepke; sister-in-law Donna Lamp, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at a later date at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Light of Christ Lutheran Church for the Bible Camp Scholarship Fund.
