Obituary of Arthur "Sam" "Sonny" Myhre

On Friday, April 3, 2020, Arthur “Sam” “Sonny” Myhre of Superior, WI, passed away at St. Lukes Hospital-Hospice at the age of 84. Sam was born on August 14, 1935 to Milo and Francis (Favell) Myhre. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force and retired from the Duluth Postal Service.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Francis (Favell) Myhre; sister, Charlotte Rogers; and brother, William Myhre. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Patricia Myhre; daughter, Cindy Grey; sister, Mary Green; and step-children Deanna (Dyleski) Rose and Vincent Dyleski.

Sam was a member of the Moose Lodge 606. Sam enjoyed attending his All-School Reunion each summer in Iron River and fishing trips to Canada. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan.

No funeral service will be held per his wishes. His burial will be in Iron River. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
