Obituary of Mary Elizabeth "Manna" Ibele

Mary Elizabeth "Manna" Ibele was born in Alexandria, MN to Archibald W Unumb and Mary Eleanor Unumb on November 11th, 1924, and passed away Monday, March 23rd, 2020 at the age of 95. A resident of Minneapolis since 1942, Manna was a social worker, resort owner, street car conductor, homemaker, and devoted wife, mother and friend. She was a lover of music, literature, the fine arts, and a wide variety of physical and outdoor activities. A bundle of energy and optimism, she shared her enthusiasms generously with others through her many decades of a full and active life. She will be remembered and missed by the many who knew and loved her, including her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Warren E. Ibele; children, Erik (Gail), Gretchen (Steve), Mark (Lisa) , John (Monica); 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to donor's choice of charity or to the Mary & Warren Ibele Scholarship in the Liberal Arts (Fund #5661), University of Minnesota Foundation, P.O. Box 860266, Minneapolis, MN 55486-0266. Services will be held at a later date.
