Obituary of Catherine Ann Berghoff

Mrs. Catherine Ann Berghoff (Kitty) of Duluth MN, died peacefully on 3/3/2020 She was 96 years old.

Kitty is survived by her children, Chuck (Sue) Berghoff of Morgan Hill CA, Gene (Jana) Berghoff of Shorewood MN, Karen (Paul) Anderson of Duluth, and Jan Berghoff of Webb Lake WI; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, H. Lee Berghoff, her son Chris (Laura) Berghoff.

Kitty was born on November 11, 1923 in Detroit. 

Prior to living in Duluth Kitty spent most of her life in Albert Lea, Edina, and Excelsior MN. 

 In addition to her real-estate career, Kitty enjoyed golfing, playing cards, gardening, reading, and was actively involved in sailing with Lee in Lake City MN and in Bayfield WI.

The Berghoff family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff of the Beehive Assisted Living Home, Essentia Hospice Care, and Mary Jean Cody.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kitty’s name to “Lewy Body Dementia Awareness & Research-MHCF, P.O. Box 1974, Morgan Hill, CA 95038”; an organization focused on increasing awareness of Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).

Service to only include a private gathering of Kitty’s immediate family.
