Obituary of Mable Evans Ridgewell

Mable Evans Ridgewell, 85, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2020 at Solvay Hospice House. She was born June 6, 1934, in Duluth, MN to W.B. and Elvera Evans. Mable graduated from Denfeld High School in 1953. She married the love of her life, Rodney H. Ridgewell on June 13, 1953. She worked for Moore Business Forms, retiring in 1994.

Mable loved sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time at their cabin on Torchlight Lake. Mable was an avid outdoorswoman and enjoyed traveling with her husband, including spending many winters in Florida and two summers in British Columbia. She was a member of her homemakers group for over 40 years. Mable was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wellington B. Evans, sister, Eugenia, and brother, Edward.

Mable is survived by her husband of 66 years, Rodney H., children, Rodney E. (Kristin), Richard (Deborah), and Russ (Christine). Grandchildren, Weston (Tawnya), Erin (Scott), Hannah, Ethan, Evan, and Grace. Great-grandchildren, Landon, Jett, and Hudson. Sister, Ruth Cox, and sister-in-law, Dolores (Dick) Nelson, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am until the 12:00 pm Memorial service at Asbury United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 14, 2020, 6822 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN.

Memorial donations in memory of Mable may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
