Obituary of Sally D. LaJoy

 

LaJoy (Winkler), Sally D. Age 78 of Wyoming, Minnesota passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 1, 2020 Preceded in death by parents, Adolph and Lillian Winkler (Dickhoff); brother, Lyle (LaVerne) Winkler, Arline Johnson (Leonard), Marlys Enright (Sylvester) Shirley Olsen, Geraine Ruud (Charles) and Terry Winkler. Survived by husband Hartley LaJoy, daughter Jennifer Hegstad (Todd) Step sons Matt (Angela) LaJoy, Skipp LayJoy and grandchildren McKenzie, Madeline, Jayden, Alyssa and Alexis. Sally enjoyed a long career as an administrative assistant to many in the healthcare arena before retiring from Medica in 1998. Sally was always highly regarded by her colleagues and leaders in the industry as a go-getter with a can do attitude toward any task, an extremely competent and diligent employee. After a successful career, Sally enjoyed traveling with her husband Hartley and her trips with friends to the casino. But she was never happier than when she spent time doting over her grandchildren. She shared a special relationship with granddaughter McKenzie. She will be missed by all for her incredible fast wit and ability to find humor in all situations. A private family service will be held at a later date at the family's cabin built in 1948.
