Obituary of Scott Michael Ferguson
Ferguson, Scott Michael, 56, of Eden Prairie. We lost Scott unexpectedly March 3, 2020.
He'll be sorely missed by his parents, Monty and Jean Ferguson, his sister, Lisa Ferguson, and his nephew, Devin (who knew him as 'Uncle Franky'); plus, many other relatives and close friends who loved him dearly. Scott was always there for his family.
Whether it was his handy work, his athletic skills, or his ability to make friends, Fergy's talent was unmatched. Scott grew up an Edina West Cougar, playing multiple sports. He was on 2 State Championship hockey teams at Squirts and PeeWees. He played varsity football/QB, hockey/defense, golf and baseball. In 1981, he was All-Conference in hockey and golf and helped take the hockey Cougars to State. Fergy was drafted out of high school by the Montreal Canadiens, and played for the University of Vermont, where he made so many dear friends. Scott ran a successful carpentry business and loved playing golf with his close buddies at Bent Creek Golf Club. Through his 8 ½ years of sobriety, he proudly helped others on their journey to recovery. If you knew Fergy, you loved Fergy, it’s that simple.
A Celebration of Scott's Life has been postponed. The family is hoping to have the celebration in August.
YOU CAN NEVER FORGET SOMEONE WHO GAVE YOU SO MUCH TO REMEMBER
