Obituary of Florence Lanore Beckman

BECKMAN (Roslund), Florence “Flo”, passed away at age 96 on March 1, 2020.  She was the daughter of Clyde and Florence Hoyt.  She was a lifelong member of Parkway UCC, in N. Mpls until its closure in 2019.  She was born August 13, 1923 in Minneapolis.  She graduated from North High School.  Attended business school and then worked for First National Bank for 40 years until her retirement.  She married Wendell Roslund on Dec 13, 1944 and they spent their early years in Florida while he was in the service.  They moved to Robbinsdale and raised two daughters, Lanore and Jeanette.  They were married for 41 years until Wendell’s death in 1985.  Her second marriage was to Elmer “Al” Beckman and they traveled the world together.  They wintered as snowbirds in Arizona and Florida.  Flo indulged herself with travel, music, crossword puzzles, reading, swimming, and time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wendell Roslund and Elmer Beckman; siblings, Warren and Clyde Hoyt.  She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Lanore Heiserman, Jeanette (Keith) Bungard; grandchildren, Seth, and Zachary (Melissa) Heiserman; great grandchildren, Laci, Alexa, Brayden; also survived by Al’s family – Kathy (Glenn) Bloomquist, Nita Beckman (Joe), Phil (Michele) Beckman, Sean (Allison) Bloomquist, Greg (Rachel) Bloomquist, Sara (Jacob); and great grandchildren, Inara, Niall, Belle, and Blair; and many dear and close friends. Celebration of Life 11am - Saturday March 21, 2020 at First Congregational Church of Anoka, 1923 3^rd Ave., Anoka with visitation at church 1 hour before service.  Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
